Mike Summerer has been a woodturner for over 25 years, with some of his art shown in local galleries since 2008. Now retired from a career in medicine and hospital management, and with a lifetime of acquired tools (and toys) he teaches beginning and intermediate woodturning for up to 4 students at a time in his spacious and well-equipped studio shop.

The mission of Schoodic Arts for All is to coalesce various artists and community members in an arts center providing year-round cultural events and activities that hold value for residents of our community. To encourage participants of all ages to express themselves creatively and gain a lifelong appreciation for the arts and creative spirit.
