This workshop will be held on the Zoom platform. We will send you a Zoom for Beginners information sheet when you register.
Students should have access to a computer/device with a camera and microphone and good internet service.
We will be hosting a Virtual Festival Kick-Off Party where you are welcome to learn the platform and meet other participants.
We will explore the wide variety of seaweed that grows in the Gulf of Maine during this live, virtual workshop. Each student will receive a packet with sea vegetable samples, recipe cards, and a seaweed identification booklet prior to the class. Together we will create a scrumptious Seaweed Salad.
Materials Supplied by Instructor:
Dry Seaweed samples (Dulse, Kelp, & Alaria)
Sea Seasonings Shaker
Kelp Krunch Bar
Kitchen tools needed:
Large pot with lid
Wooden spoon or spatula
Tamari or Soy Sauce
Toasted Sesame Oil
White Miso (optional)
Crushed Red Pepper (optional)
Other optional additions: cucumber, carrot, radish, tofu
