We will write some very short stories, from 3 words to a couple of pages, and read them to each other. Other names for flash fiction include short-short stories, sudden, postcard, minute, furious, fast, quick, skinny, and micro fiction, pocket-size story, minute-long story, palm-sized story, and my personal favorite, the smoke-long story (just long enough to read while smoking a cigarette). We’ll talk about what makes a story move, what elements does a story need, and how to begin. Experienced writers and beginners are all welcome.
