Michael Trautman brings his solo variety show to the 2021 Schoodic Arts Festival. Known around the world as “King Pong”, Michael will perform his original and unique style of comedy magic.
Mr. Trautman, who lives in Portland, has been traveling the world and entertaining audiences since 1977. He first arrived in Maine in 1983 to begin training with renowned mime teacher Tony Montanaro at Celebration Barn in South Paris. Shortly after, Michael began performing with Benny Reehl’s New England New Vaudeville Show, and he has continued to perform throughout Maine ever since, including The Maine Festival, The Lobster Festival, Yarmouth Clam Festival, Old Port Festival, and at theaters, festivals, fairs, colleges, schools and libraries all over the state and around the world.
Known around the world as “King Pong” because of his extensive repertoire of tricks with ping pong balls, his show Head in the Clouds is a family friendly collection of comedy, magic, juggling, clowning and audience participation routines.
