Experience the magic and excitement of glazing and firing Raku pottery! Raku is amazing to watch – and even more amazing to create! Clay artists Anna Woolf and Neale LaSalle will explain the chemistry behind the quick and intense process that produces the uniquely beautiful results you can only get through Raku firing. Participants will have the hands-on experience of glazing bisque-fired forms provided to them and then look on as their pottery bursts into flame, smolders in a shroud of smoke, and then emerges from the ashes as a finished piece that has been transformed into a one-of-a-kind artistic creation. Bring your mittens and join us for this unique, free, outdoor activity.
