This class is designed to build the skills of those new to glass fusing so that they
understand the physical characteristics of fusible glass as well as the dynamics of how
glass reacts to heat.

Specifically students will learn:
– Safety in the studio
– How to measure and cut straight lines in glass,
– How to create simple glass projects with multiple layers of glass,
– How to minimize unwanted internal bubbles in glass projects,
– The difference between full-fusing, tack-fusing and slumping.

The class will be conducted in 2 sessions with each session including a lecture/discussion
element relating to the class topic, demonstration and practice, and a student project to
be completed that session.
