We will cover eye hand coordination, using angles to shape effective composition, value underpainting, keying colors and color theory for dynamic darks and light filled lights. We will paint outdoors if at all possible.

Date: Tuesday, August 10th, 2021

Time: 10am-3pm

Ages: 16+

Location: WHO Paints Studio

Bring List: Sketchbook, pencil, eraser, 16 x 20 canvas, #2, #4, bristle filbert, # 4 round bristle, a large brush any kind, #4 or #6 bristle flat (or filbert is fine too or bright) all brushes should be long handled, soy or citrus based brush cleaner, a palette, a palette knife, rags. Paints: Titanium white, Indian Yellow, Cadmium free yellow light, ( but if you have Cad yellow don’t go out and buy more paint use it!), Yellow Ocher, Burnt Sienna or Trans Oxide Red, Cad Free Red, French Ult Blue, Manganese Blue, Sap Green, Dioxazine Purple, Perm Rose or Quin. Red or as a last resort, Aliz Crimson. ( Avoid buying student grade paint like Lucas the colors are lovely out of the tube but they do not mix well.)
