COMBS STUDIO SURVEY

Last year we were given a fabulous gift by long-time instructor, volunteer, and founding board member Doris Combs.  Because of this gift, Schoodic Arts now has an opportunity to use this wonderful studio in Prospect Harbor for our programming and to share it with the community.  We’d love to hear from you about what ways you think we should make the most of the Combs Studio.  Thank you for your FEEDBACK!

FESTIVAL 2012

July 29th – August 12th.

As always, we will kick things off with our Silent Auction fundraiser, and enjoy performances from SAFA programs like the Schoodic Summer Chorus and our community Steel Pan Bands. We’ll end things on a high-note that lines up with the Winter Harbor Lobster Festival and features a Contra Dance with the Sheep Island Rovers on the 11th and our Festival Final Showcase on the 12th.

Schoodic Arts for All at a Glance:

SCHOODIC ARTS FOR ALL is a non-profit organization that brings art and culture to the Schoodic Peninsula area and surrounding communities in Downeast Maine. Since 1999, we have provided music, art, dance, theatre, writing, crafts, poetry, sculpture, and fiber arts in performances and workshops at affordable prices. To encourage families to attend events together, children are admitted free to all 90+ performances.

Our Home:

SCHOODIC ARTS FOR ALL is happily located on the Schoodic Peninsula in Winter Harbor, Maine – home to one of the most scenic and untouched sections of Acadia National Park.  Our office is situated in Hammond Hall, a nationally-registered historic landmark, on Winter Harbor’s Main Street.  We have recently acquired (by way of a most generous gift) the Combs Studio in Prospect Harbor, where we have annually held workshops in the arts for our Summer Festival.

Our Mission:

The mission of Schoodic Arts for All is to bring together and provide opportunities for people of all ages to experience and appreciate the arts.

Friends of SAFA:

At Schoodic Arts for All, we are proud to be part of a community of organizations in Hancock and Washington counties that are working hard throughout the year and often collaborating to bring quality programs to the people of Downeast Maine:
