By asking, as one mixes up a color, is it warmer or cooler, lighter or darker a painter can make oils glow avoiding the chalkiness impasto often creates! Learning to see these subtle shifts in hue can bring so much life to a painting!

Bring List: 2 canvases, oil paints: Alizarin Crimson, Perm Red, Perm Lemon Yellow, Perm Yellow, Ultra Marine, a white, Quinacridone Rose, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna or Trans Oxide Red. Fun to have but not necessary: Light Green, Radiant Blue, Perm Yellow Light, Indian Yellow. A variety of brushes some flats, a round or two, rags, sketchbook, pencils.
