Beginner Cape Breton Step Dance

Cape Breton Step Dance is a hard shoe, percussive style of dance. The footwork is very much kept “close to the floor”. Students will be introduced to basic strathspey and reel steps and leave with a short routine.

• Ages: All Ages - Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

• Bring: Comfortable foot wear for dancing: can be leather sole shoes, swing shoes, tap shoes or sneakers. 

• Location: Hammond Hall, 427 Main Street, Winter Harbor, Maine

• For All Price: $10 – For those who need the most help, we don’t want finances to keep anyone from participating.
