Introduction to Printmaking 10/7/23
In this Introduction to block printing class, you will learn how to use this craft to create your own unique block print.
Block printing is a beautiful art form because of its graphic quality and handmade feel.
Please bring at least one simple 4” x 6” sketch or design inspiration. Simple is best! I will also have some template designs for you to choose from.
This class is ideal for beginners.
What you will learn: understand how to create a single-color block print; develop a clear understanding of the steps needed to plan, design and carve a successful print; hand burnish a print using softcut carving block and non-toxic water-based inks.

Silk Paper Fusion
In this workshop you will learn how to fuse various types of silk fiber into flat sheets of paper that can be used in any kind of craft. You can paint on silk paper, use it to make books, decorative vessels, etc. The possibilities are endless.
